Tomorrow I am giving a talk about the Peace Corps in Kenya to a group of 200 Girl Scouts, so I spent the better part of this morning going through my pictures. That's when I found this gem--quite possibly one of my favorite pictures.Cool Spick Salon is a hair salon in Kitale, Kenya (near my second site). This sign is near the post office. I'm not sure who came up with the name, but they obviously wouldn't understand why I thought it was funny, and so odd to be in Kitale, of all places. Plus I am half hispanic. I still laugh as hard now as I did the first time I saw that sign. Never mind almost ten years have passed.
